A little over a month until my next craft fair! This will be my fourth one in under a year. My first craft fair went very well and I met a wonderful lady who ordered three blankets from me. Unfortunately, the last two fairs have been absolutely horrible and I left both of them early. I think this will be the make or break craft fair for me. I think I will only do craft fairs around the holidays from now on if this one doesn’t go very well. BUT I am going to be optimistic and I’m doing it with my friend this time so at least I won’t become bored this time!
I am all about doilies right now!
Okay so I know that I am 10 days late, but I thought that I would welcome April in this post anyway. In crochet world April is the time for flowers and all things light and springlike! I am so over heavy, warm blankets and chunky scarves. From now until September all you will see is lace, vibrant colors and summer time beauties (except for one more blanket that I have to make by mid-June).
Before April started I finished the second fiesta blanket that I was requested to make. As time went on I absolutely fell in love with it, I wish I still had it!
Now for more Summer time crochet things:
I have been making barefoot sandals and doilies like crazy. I’m crocheting another maroon doily right now, which I may give to my boyfriend’s mother as a birthday gift. I’ll post it after I finish, I’m halfway through right now.
Until next time! ❤
First of all: Happy Easter! I hope you all had a very good day. 🐣🐰
Now back to crochet, this is the second doily I have ever made! The first one was a couple posts back and it was pure white. I wanted some color changes this time so I chose pretty spring pinks! I was debating whether to make the last round pink as well, but I’m happy that I went with the maroon. I think it makes it more sophisticated. I’m just about done with it, just one more round!
Here’s some of my progress:
The pattern is the Wisteria doily from redheart.
This morning I was notified that my blog has 200 followers!! Thank you all so much for taking the time to look at my pictures and comment on them. Being a part of a crochet community means a lot to me, even if I’ve never met any of you. It feels so nice to share the things I make to people who also crochet.
I plan on creating many more things and can’t wait to share them, and to see all of the things you make as well.
Sending hearts your way ❤💜💛💗🌼🌹🌸🌻
I finished making the white Barefoot sandals that were in my last post. I think they’re so beautiful, I want to keep them for myself!
I finished them over a week ago but I knew that in order to take nice pictures I needed to give my toes a much needed spring manicure. Although my toes do look nice, if I do say so myself, it still feels weird taking a picture of my feet! By the way it’s actually a pink nail polish but it looks like red in the pictures.

Today and tomorrow are going to be 60 so its definitely starting to feel like summer over here!

I hope your day is warm too🌞
I just signed up to participate in my second craft fair, I’m very excited! It’s on June 11th so I have plenty of time to make things, since I have next to nothing right now. I’ve been creating a whole pinterest board of what to make. Barefoot sandals, coasters, table mats, centerpieces, baby clothing, and mason jar covers are all on that list 😄 If anyone has any suggestions on quick summer things to make let me know, I need ideas!
Here are the Barefoot sandals that I started. I never realized how gorgeous they are. Isn’t lace so beautiful?
And as someone suggested on my last post, I decided to put both of the CAL blankets together to show the difference in colors.
The one on the right is from a few years ago. I like them both but I’m definitely happy with the brightness in my blanket. 😆
Have a good Friday!!
The lady I made the pervious blanket for loved it so much that she asked me to make her another one! I made this blanket a couple of years ago in different colors. I call it my Fiesta blanket because it’s oranges, reds, yellows, greens, and browns. It used to be a CAL called the as we go stripey blanket by Hannah Owens, I believe.

She didn’t want any orange in it so I replaced it with maroon, which looks almost black in this picture. I’m trying to balance out the light and dark colors because I don’t want it turning out to be too dark.
I’ll have to upload a better picture some other time since this one isn’t so good.
